The two main routes on Carnedd Dafydd are the Crib Lem Spur and the Cwmglas Bach Spur.
Crib Lem Spur
This route, high above Cwm Llafer, is probably the best scramble in the Carneddau.
A great line; realatively simple scrambling but with enough exposure to make you think. Not an unpopular walk, but also not too busy en-route.
Cwmglas Bach Spur
In “Scrambles in Snowdonia” this route was awarded no stars and, for once, this really is the case!
The rock is loose, vegetated and wet. As a warning, when I did this route the first hold I reached for fell away, very crumbly!
We need fresh accounts of these walks, could you provide us more information?
If so you could be one of our contributors! Please email the details to [email protected]
