Start at SK077670.

Scramble easily up the gully behind the large pinnacle. If feeling confident climb the pinnacle from the col on the ridge at the top of the gully (Grade 2): climb up a few steps then traverse left across the left-hand face (facing the pinnacle) before climbing up grass/rock to the summit, reverse to descend.

To climb Parkhouse Hill simply follow the ridge from the col to the summit, avoiding difficulties by the rough path (walking) or taking them direct (Grade 1/2) at will.

The exposure is significant but the ridge is nowhere technically difficult. Descend the grass slopes to the east, keeping to Access land.

  1. Did this today for the first time. Surprisingly good if you take everything direct. Ascending the pinnacle was fun. Grade 2 is about right but it’s a very exposed Grade 2!
